Jan 15, 2018

My dream is to read more and to get more focus on what i read, i would like to create a good reading habit to accomplish that, it would ve great if someone could give me some tips on what books to read and some tips to get started.

I will be posting my progress and hopefully by the end of the year i will post a story on how i managed to accomplish it

James Hey Gary, might be able to help you on that one. I have never been a big reader until I was 21 but then became a book worm. A good website for recording what you read, find books and exchange with friends is www.goodreads.com. Another thing you can do is define a reading habit, for instance I read a chapter a day at least. Weekdays I read books that would inspire, motivate or learn me something. On the weekend I read for my pleasure, so generally non-fiction books week days and fiction books over the weekend. I switch this pattern when I am on holidays. When you find an author you like read more of his books. Ask your friends for any good books they would recommend. Read a few books at the same time so you don't get bored with a book, I read at least 3 books at the same time one poetry, one fiction and one non-fiction. Lastly, if you don't like a book drop it. Good reading

Te recomiendo Sapiens (Yuval Noah Harari), Beneath a Scarlet Sky (Mark Sullivan), Born a Crime (Trevor Noah) y The Martian (Andy Weir). Buena suerte!
